グラム染色で良質な痰 predominant morphotype (PM) 240 (14.4%)
喀痰培養・肺炎球菌検出に対して
グラム陽性双球菌検出 感度60% 特異度97.6%

喀痰検査で良質な検体は14.4%と少ないですが、もしグラム陽性双球菌が検出された場合、肺炎球菌性CAPの陽性尤度比は25。ほぼ確定的になるようです。
